Hometown Projects

Hi I'm originally from the province of Capiz,
in the beautiful island of Panay,
Visayas, Philippines.
I've been away for almost half of my life but
deep down I've never really felt like I left the islands.
I've always thought that perhaps, someday,
I can go home and do something.
Well, I sure hope it is not too late to do something.

This blog is an idea that's been in the back burner & is finally out front.
It was not an idea of a blog that I wanted then; it was a website .
I did not know it was this easy to set up a blog.
No, I didn't have the technical skills
but I've always had ideas I wanted to share.

Here's one idea that I'd like to share.
Let me start with Capiz & the rest of the provinces in Panay.
How about linkages among community organizations
to promote socio-poli-economic development?
Nurture the body as well as the mind. Teach a man how to fish.Education is the key.
It is something nobody can take away from you.It is a life time legacy.
These are thoughts that come to mind. There are companies with programs for non-profit organizations to join for FREE .Local non-profits such as PTA's can join then invite US & elsewhere based community organizations or their "kasimanwas" (townmates) to join. By teaming up, they will be able to pool more resources & collaborate on financing hometown projects such as procuring computers & other equipment for schools & public libraries.
